Direct Group, established in Hamilton in 2007, produce branded merchandise and clothing for more than 4,000 corporate, school and sporting clients across New Zealand. As their team expanded and they opened Australasia’s largest apparel showroom, they sought to rebrand to better reflect their modern style of service, product range and expertise.
Through a series of workshops, we helped them define their values and core purpose, leading to the creation of The Brand Makers.
The new identity highlights the team’s passion, skills, and dedication to quality. The logo features sharp, angled serifs for a bespoke, handcrafted feel, complemented by high-resolution photos of the production process and materials, to celebrate the product and the makers. Abstract patterns inspired by sewing and stitching diagrams add texture, while a clean black-and-white aesthetic ensures the products and suppliers stand out.
